Even though this book was a retelling of the other Last Rider books, but from Shades point of view, it made me realise that Shade really did have a heart. What a Beautiful Emotional DEEP Love Story. ![]() But then here we jump 32yrs & them being in their Golden yr of marriage, had the tears streaming down my face. ![]() So after ALL the Acton & married life continues, we get the epilogues where we see the 1st I've jumps onto 4yrs later, 2nd one jumps another 14 yrs where their Son alongside Lillie's sister Beth & Razer's Boys going off. But not such luck, even though we have that Acton up to that point, it just doesn't stop there & it seems like it's just not 1 person/team there are others & what a strong partnership not just between the individual couples but it's the whole Last Standing Biker's Club & then on top of that the other 2 clubs are there for the women, especially as the most kindest & forgiving lady Lillie is. But heck you would think that would be it for this great couple & family. So here we see the same areas of Where Lillie's life was in constant danger up to their wedding. But one weakness of this great story, was sometimes the author took a while to get to the point of some of the chapters. She doesn't have much hope in it at all, but she starts to read it anyways throughout this book. Jennifer is so depressed, she doesn't go to school for days, so her Grandmother gets her a book that she thinks will solve all of her problems. Sorry I know there are ppl out there who love the idea but I'm not one of them. I have never left reading a book so sad or unjustified yes I really was that upset he died, yes I also understand its a book but when a book leaves you feeling sick it really isn't worth recommending to anyone and I love to recommend books to people and I really really wish the character would have lived, the story would have been better in my opinion, but to just kill off a character so there isn't the strange love triangle anymore is unjust! I wish that Ren would be around for this book, I really do, I feel his death was not necessary and wasn't really needed to build up the plot, if anything it took so much away from the book. Wow I didn't even know there was going to be anymore, looking forward to this, but I can't say I remember this character :S ![]() |
